Australian singer-songwriter and 2 x ARIA and 8-time Golden Guitar winner Fanny Lumsden has announced a 5 date UK tour for Spring 2024. The announcement comes after the country music and folk star released her highly anticipated fourth album ‘Hey Dawn’.
In summer 2023, Fanny took to the stage for a sold-out UK & IE tour as well as her Glastonbury debut, where she played to a packed crowd.
Over the years she has toured with renowned artists such as Paul Kelly and Kasey Chambers, headlined multiple sold-out theatre tours, and played Americana Fest in Nashville.
Fanny’s fourth album ‘Hey Dawn’ won Best Country Album at the 2023 ARIA Awards with Fanny and the band also performing live at the event. The record is a crystallisation of all the sentiments Fanny’s capable of touching – a truly stunning kaleidoscope.
‘The title track ‘Hey Dawn’ treads a different path to the type of ballads we’ve heard before. It serves as both as an intro to the record, but also a standout track in its own right... It’s a truly spine-tingling and emotive way to start the record. Zanda Wilson, Rolling Stone
Having grown up on a farm and spending most of her time touring regional Australia in a caravan, Fanny’s songs are born of the red dirt, the snowy mountains, and the people in between. Fanny is an all-in affair, where joy and exuberance meet intimate storytelling, delivered with wit, warmth and luscious harmonies.
Along with her husband Dan Stanley Freeman she runs her own Record Label and Production company – Red Dirt Road and hugely successful touring brand – The Country Halls Tour which has sold out over 180+ halls all over Australia.
