The Wandering Hearts

British Americana group The Wandering Hearts embark on a UK headline tour in March & April 2023.

Initially giving themselves the Paper Hearts, the band formed in London in 2015 when Tara Wilcox and Tim Prottey-Jones met at a gig before being introduced to mutual friends Francesca “Chess” Whiffin and AJ Dean-Revington. After signing to Decca Records, the group became The Wandering Hearts, and released their debut single 'Wish I Could' in 2017, followed by their debut Wild Silence not long after. Tracks from LP including the likes of 'Devil', 'Burning Bridges' and 'Biting Through The Wires' are an early indicator of the band's penchant for Americana, weaving together elements of country, folk and a Fleetwood Mac-esque ear for harmony. The band caught the attention of country and bluegrass hero Marty Stuart, who invited them to play The States as they became the only UK act to play Nashville's Ryman Theatre and The Grand Ole Opry in the same week.

In 2021 The Wandering Hearts released their eponymous second full-length, which like its predecessor topped the UK's official Americana Chart. Tracks such as 'Over Your Body' and 'Gold' remain fan favourites. This was their first as a trio, after the departure of Prottey-Jones in 2019.

The band signed to Chrysalis Records for their third album, which is set for release in 2024 and promises to put "sharp focus on their world-renowned three-part harmonies."
